Maternity Reflexology Now Offered at Footsteps In Eden
Many new and veteran moms, including celebrities, Elle MacPherson, Kate Moss, and Gwyneth Paltrow have followed and endorsed a maternity care program developed by obstetrician, Dr. Gowri Motha, and outlined in her book, Gentle Birth Method. The main “ingredient" of this program is reflexology.
I've been privileged recently to receive advanced training in Maternity Reflexology from Dr. Motha’s contemporary, Susanne Enzer. Susanne has used reflexology with great success in her midwifery practice in the United Kingdom and Australia. She is passionate to teach midwives reflexology and reflexologists maternity reflexology techniques, holding classes in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.
Susanne is well known worldwide in this field, and believes “Reflexology is second to none for pregnancy care! In my opinion, no matter what type of delivery the mum-to-be will have, if she has had reflexology as part of pre-natal care she will be well prepared for the experience!”
Pregnant moms have in many cases reported great relief through this complementary approach for many of the common complaints of pregnancy. Testimonial evidence also shows that reflexology may be helpful with sub-fertility challenges.
Footsteps In Eden is offering informational sessions on Maternity Reflexology the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month in the Memphis area. Please contact us through our website for specific information.
Our website also contains further information about maternity reflexology, options for contacting us to schedule appointments, and for purchasing gift certificates.
Of course, Footsteps In Eden continues to offer reflexology sessions for all at all ages and stages of life. No matter why you come, we go the extra mile to ensure your session with us is an "experience" in relaxation and pampering.

The Green Parent - Review of a Great Green Blog
Just found this quite fun and very interesting and helpful blog for those looking for greener ideas for life. "Your Kid-friendly Guide to Earth-Friendly Living" is the subtitle for this refreshing little spot on the great big WWW. Personally, if it isn't kid-friendly, I don't believe it is probably very adult friendly either.
In this blog you will find not only the author's green opinions on a vast array of timely and pertinent topics. The blog also includes numerous links to vital information to support the detailed reports being brought your way. Topics range from building, clean air, eco-crafts and green events to healthy eating, pets, schools, reducing waste and about 20 other topics in between. Each topic has been covered in several different posts about different aspects of that topic.
Continuously, I'm excited as I find new resources to share with you to help all of us take better care of ourselves, our lives, our family, our homes and our planet. This blog is one of those resources!!!

Footsteps In Eden Reflexology - 30 Seconds of Limelight
Footsteps in Eden Reflexology (Memphis, TN) has 30 seconds of limelight this Saturday morning... that means along with 15 other ladies from Memphis' Ladies Who Launch incubators, I have the opportunity to share my 30 second "elevator speech."
What's an elevator speech? You know. Someone on the elevator asks you what you do (not likely -- people rarely speak on elevators), but you have about 30 seconds to respond and leave them with a GRRRRREAT impression. This is all Saturday morning at 10 at That Chic Shopping Show at the AgriCenter in Memphis, TN. There will be giveaways and fun, and a full day of great shopping for chics!
Anyone have any wonderful ideas for my elevator speech, I'm all "ears"!!!! (But ideally the speech will focus on "feet"!) I have one special gift to give away as well. Any really creative and fun ideas for that are truly appreciated!!!
So, this is definitely the post on which to comment . . . and if you're in Memphis come do a little shopping.

Why I Do What I Do Everyday
"What's my reason for getting up in the morning and do what I do every day?" I just came across the question being asked by the author of another blog . . . Live Your Dreams The author is hoping that others would leave their answer. I wasn't quite sure how to do that, but believed it might be an interesting question for a quick blog entry of my own.
From my profile, you know that I'm committed to living my life for Jesus every day. . . a Scripture from Ephesians says it all:
For by grace are you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God -- not because of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-10
We're so precious to God that He gave everything for our salvation. He created us for the plans He had for us before the beginning of time. What a privilege to get up and do whatever He has called us to each and every day!
The hot air balloon at the top of the post (and the one in my profile as well) are one of my dreams . . . No, they have nothing to do with this post except that I was responding to the LIVE YOUR DREAMS question . . . so included one of mine here!!! Someday I'll be up, up, and away in one these . . . I pray it's one day soon!!!

Refllexology in Memphis, Tennessee
Of course, those who read my blog regularly know that I am a Registered Certified Reflexologist working in the Memphis, TN, area. For a long while my reflexology posts were popping up quickly in the top 5 or 6 on a google search looking for "reflexology, Memphis, TN." I've noticed that it no longer even shows in the first 3 or 4 pages. I'm certainly not sure what's happened, but I hope you'll indulge me the opportunity to include this more current post in hopes that ALIVE! will again come up high in the google searches.
For those of you just finding my blog for the first time, please take the time to check out my reflexology website as well. I believe you will be amazed at what you'll learn about the benefits of reflexology. Scheduling an appointment affords you the experience to go along with the knowledge you'll glean from the site. Most likely, you'll quickly become a believer in its incredible benefits.

In Memory
Hello to all. . . if you are a subscriber and haven't seen a post for awhile, it is true. . . . I've been mentally and emotionally away from the blog for a couple of weeks.
So this short post is just a red, red rose in memory of my Mother-in-Law. She went to be with Jesus this past week. Her victory celebration of glory to God for a full and completed life was just that . . . and exactly as she would have had it. May she rest in the loving arms of Jesus until we see her again at the Wedding Feast of the Lamb!!!

Exciting Opportunity for Ladies' Business to Zoom!!!
Ladies Who Launch came to my attention through some "Facebook" escapades over the weekend. And, unbelievably, there is actually a Ladies Who Launch group in Memphis, TN. That's simply amazing!
What is even more amazing is that last night I found myself sitting in on the first meeting of the Incubator here in Memphis. God allowed some very amazing things to happen very quickly . . . LWL call it movement!!! Well movement there was. I believe this is a huge stepping stone to seeing my dreams for my business finally truly be "launched."
If you have a hobby, a business idea, a floundering business, just a wild dream. . . . and you're a lady, look for a group in your city. I believe you will be very pleased that you did!

Essential Oils & Mainstream Medicine
Essential Oils beginning to be used in a hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas, as what appears to be an effective therapy. It is exciting to see this happening. Young Living features high quality oils as mentioned in the article.
Below is the first portion of a report from a Ft. Worth, TX, News show. You may read the complete article by clicking on the link above.
Essential Oils Now Used In Mainstream Medicine
Reporting
Mark Johnson
FORT WORTH (CBS 11 News) ―
"The healing powers of essential oils have been known for centuries. Now a Fort Worth hospital is the first in North Texas to take those powers to a clinical level.
Megan Morrison's high risk pregnancy has kept her on bed rest for the past six weeks. Her clinical aromatherapy sessions at Harris Methodist Hospital are new.
"'I can definitely tell a big difference,' Morrison said. 'I'm definitely much more relaxed than if I was just to go take a hot bath.'
"Nurse Susan Shields is trained in clinical aromatherapy. It's centuries-old tradition which uses pure essential oils. Harris Methodist has the only certified program in North Texas.
"She said, 'What we're using is a combination of bergamot, [and] citrus vergania, which is the true lavender--the relaxing lavender. It does not replace any of the medical treatment that goes on here. It is in addition to; it is complimentary; it enhances.'"

Green Cleaning for Your Home & Your Family
Dr. Mehmet C. Oz,M.D., author of You: An Owner's Manual and regular guest on Oprah has this to say about Deirdre Imus' book, green this!
Packed with practical insights and solutions to protect our families. Deirdre Imus asks the provacative question, 'Is the way we clean really good for us?' Read on to find the startling answer."
Learning of a new Young Living Distributor in my organization who found about our healthy and pure oils from this book by Deirdre Imus, it became a must read on my list! I've spent some hours over the weekend being enlightened even further on cleaning ideas and potential hazards in our homes. The ideas, suggestions, cleaning recipes, etc. are indeed most practical for every day!
With small grandchildren in my home very often, I'll be choosing growing up green! for a near future read. Both of these books have been BEST SELLERS on Amazon. growing up green! and green this! have earned their place on the New York Times Bestsellers list as well.
This book is readily available at local bookstores, and through Amazon. Both have been bestsellers on Amazon, and have earned placement on the New York Times bestsellers list. You will find a quick link to these specific books at Amazon in the column to the right.
Essential oils do play a BIG, BIG role in the suggestions Deirdre shares. She heartily recommends purchasing them from Young Living! We whole-heartedly agree.

Why Does the United States Rank as Only the 37th Healthiest Nation in the World?
The World Health Organization ranks the United States at number 37 in the list of the healthiest countries. Very sad indeed for a country so advanced in so many ways. Those interested in alternative and complementary health options are already well aware of some/many of the reasons this is so. One of my fellow miessence® representatives resently shared this video. The producers of this coming movie/documentary are nutritionists who wish to share some serious truths about health issues in our country today. It is quite a lot to think about, and a small sample of a movie, I believe, you will be making plans to see!
You will find many nutritional products for helping to detoxigy the mody, build immunity, and optimize health at Young Living.

Valor® - A Staple in my Aromatherapy Collection
Valor®, is a proprietary blend of therapeutic grade essential oils from Young Living. Young Living offers over 100 different essential oils and essential oil blends. This specific blend reached out and caught my attention in a BIG BIG way . . . That experience, which I'll share today, not only grabbed my attention, it hooked me on the oils that I love so much. Young Living also incorporates these therapeutic grade oils into a host of personal care products, dietary supplements, and household products that are non-toxic, eco-friendly, and wonderful to use.
Now for my personal story of Valor® -- A bit long, but I truly wished to share the whole traumatic experience for you to know how truly blessed I felt upon the discovery of this great essential oil.
Three years ago this past December -- it was the day after Christmas -- the Mid-South section of the county was recovering from a major ice storm & a devastating tsunami was hitting Thailand. That was the day!
Our son and daughter-in-law were returning home to Nashville from celebrating Christmas with her family in Chicago. The ice storm had struck as they were leaving Nashville and they became stranded in their car overnight on the interstate in Kentucky. It was a quite traumatic experience. They would be arriving home in time for our son to return to work the next day. Our daughter-in-law had a bit more time. The plan was to meet them at a pre-determined location and bring her back to Memphis for the week. Our son would join us for New Year's!
It was 65 and sunny in Memphis when I left driving my daughter's all-wheel drive Honda Accord. My very old and very squirrely car didn't seem to be appropriate since we weren't sure what conditions I would encounter. The trip was fairly smooth, but the entire time I drove an overwhelming heavy feeling pushed at my back. . . It was a dark, dark feeling. For me personally it felt almost sinister. Knowing my daughter would have worship CD's in the car, I fumbled around looking for them as I drove. NOTHING! Feeling compelled to continuously move forward, I never stopped to really look for them, even though I knew that playing that music would be of great benefit for keeping any invisible, but marauding characters from being very effective.
At last reaching my destination, I opened the door, stepped out, looked around, and there they were right behind the driver's seat. Of course! Where were they while I needed them.
So, now I'm waiting quite some time for son and daughter-in-law to arrive. Their projected ETA was an hour or so off. . . AND family Christmas party was that evening. We planned to be back in Memphis in time to attend.
Back on the road, this feeling swept over me once again. I never mentioned it. We just talked and shared and kept moving. I spoke with my husband as we came closer to Memphis. We discussed my intended route to the party and that we were still coming even though we would be a little late now. He suggested a different route, but never mentioned that it was because the warm temperatures and sunshine had not been effective in removing all the ice from the streets.
We exited the interstate and were headed up the highway toward the tree lined country road that would take us to the party. Hesitation would certainly be a great word here as I neared that intersection. I could see that it didn't look very friendly. Seconds before my daughter called and was saying they were ready to exchange the gifts, and what did I wish her to do about this one or that. So, I was preoccupied as well. That feeling came bearing down on my harder than ever, along with a couple of other vehicles. A hasty decision to turn instead of just going straight home was an incredible mistake!
I knew it immediately after turning. There was no where to turn around. We navigated through the first half mile or so when the car began spinning. There were lots of trees and a small lake at the bottom of a hill in the direction we were headed. I couldn't see them in the dark, but I knew they were there.
Now, I really choose to give God much glory here! The enemy may have won the battle here as we crashed broadside into some of those trees and bounced out completely turned around across a slick as glass driveway. But he didn't win, really! I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt the way the car was moving that angels were all around us positioning that car in such a way that neither of us would be seriously injured. Anyone who saw the car would have never believed that, or even that our daughter-in-law was alive!
No serious ihttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifnjuries, but definitely some stained and twisted muscles plagued us. After a few days we each had some cranial sacral and trager massage. This in and of itself was an enormous blessing. Even after being detangled I was feeling the strain of those previously kinked places in my neck and shoulders for days to come.
My limited collection (at the time) of aromatherapy oils included Valor®. I had absolutely no idea what to do with it, but I remembered that Valor® had been introduced to me as "a chiropractor in a bottle."
I began to apply Valor® to my neck and shoulders and was amazed at the relaxation this brought to this part of my body and how the pain subsided. Of course, I thought, I'm just getting better. After a couple of weeks my supply was exhausted. The few days it took me to obtain some more were all it took for me to realize that this little bottle contained some very precious healing abilities for me.
Distilled from spruce, blue tansy, rosewood & frankincense -- Valor® is truly a gift of God's creation. I've not been without it again!
Young Living's catalog describes it in part like this:
"Valor® is an empowering combination of terapeutic-grade essential oils that works with both the pysical and spiritual aspects of the body to increase feelings of strength, courage, and self-esteem in the face of adversity. . . "
Since then, I've learned of Valor's® use on the feet for a very relaxing experience. I often use it in my reflexology practice and on my own feet, neck, and shoulders to bring about a balanced and relaxed state of being.

Aromatherapy for Sleep
Aromatherapy oils have shown in many cases to be highly effective when used on the feet to promote health & wellness for the entire body. This was a significant factor in my personal decision to pursue reflexology training. It was my desire to intentionally introduce more people to the therapeutic effects of the oils by using them in a reflexology setting.
The following aromatherapy tip comes directly from a Young Living distributor through the Young Living weekly newsletter. I'm passing it on to you. This is an awesome testimony to the power of Young Living essential oils.
“My husband has a hard time sleeping at night, especially when he travels away from home. He uses lavender and Valor® essential oil blend together on his feet and sleeps all night long!

Thieves® -- Thankful Today for this Green Cleaner
The thought of sending my king size bedspread to the dry cleaner was distasteful for a couple of reasons. Only one (kinda large) corner needed cleaning. The dry cleaning solvents would be quite noxious to my way of thinking. Never the less, the whole bedspread would certainly not fit in my washing machine.
What happened? Our precious little 2 year old granddaughter was sleeping on our bed when an upset tummy presented itself in quite a yucky way. You probably get my drift here.
Carefully wiping it off and then allowing it to dry out gave me a bit of time to think this one through. Thieves™ in its many forms has come to my rescue before. One corner of the bedspread would easily fit in my oversize kitchen sink. So, with a bar of Thieves™ Soap and some cold water the spots were gently coaxed from the bedspread. Wrapped in towels to absorb the water, the bedspread is now clean and spread out to dry.
The greater benefit is the antibacterial properties of Thieves®, and essential oil blend from Young Living, and the fact that Thieves® products also are made without the toxic ingredients found in most household cleaners. This stuff will even remove mold (and it doesn't come back.) That's pretty powerful stuff. Check out my Young Living website where you will find Thieves® bar soap, Thieves® Household Cleaner, Thieves® essential oil blend, Thieves® tootpastes, Thieves® mouthwash, Thieves® hand sanitizers, and Thieves® personal sprays.
Theieves® products have proved to be great immunity builders and infection fighters for our family!

Earth Day -- Great Music Video
One of the comments made in response to this YOUTube video was to the effect that if each of us did one earth friendly thing each day, the earth would smile.
The music and the message are terrific! Be warned: There are many sad scenes between the many beautiful ones here. We could jump to the extreme conclusion that we would be wise to all go back to living like cave men. More realistically, however, I believe it is a call to all of us to be more selective about our perceived "needs," more responsible with the disposal of our discards, and more contemplative before we act about just how our actions will affect this earth for our children and our grancdhildren and theirs for the generations to come.

In the midst of a blog entitled ALIVE! I believe I'll take a moment for G'amma to brag (and show off a little too) about this NEW LIFE that is definitely ALIVE! This is the newest blessing for our family, and quite a sweet one, too! Big sister, Mikah, adores her. We all agree, she's a keeper!

Earth Day -- This Week
Earth Day is celebrated this week. Over the years I've had various reactions to the attitudes and types of people that might celebrate this day. . . . some more honorable than others I'll have to admit. As I've contemplated the position I choose to take about the earth and how we live upon on it as its caretakers my only honest conclusions come from the words of the ONE BOOK I truly believe to be the very basis of truths that man is wise to live and follow. Everyone may not agree. It doesn't make it any less GOD'S TRUTH, and I choose for myself to follow Him to Eternity.
So, what words are found on this subject in The Bible? I'm so glad you asked. Well, even if you didn't -- I'll be sharing any way. Here they are.
These words speak of human being's responsibility to care for the planet where we eat, breathe, and live. To care for the planet and all of its forms of life seems to mean cultivating the gifts we've been given here on the planet to sustain life that is created in the Image of God, and reflecting His nature.
Personally, I've come to believe that means doing what is in my power to use up less of our natural resources, share resources when possible, and use the least amount of toxic products that add to the pollution of the environment we call home (your home, your community, your country, your world, your universe). To the best of my ability, and a little more each day, I look for the least invasive means to health & wellness; the foods that are grown with loving care and the resources of nature rather than man-made chemicals that are harmful to our health and environment; opportunities to recycle; purchase locally produced foods and goods; and more.
I believe these are the type of choices our Creator is pleased for us to make. I believe He is honored when we choose to use His provisions with wisdom and care!

So, what words are found on this subject in The Bible? I'm so glad you asked. Well, even if you didn't -- I'll be sharing any way. Here they are.
Genesis 1:27-29 (The Message)*
26-28 God spoke: "Let us make human beings in our image, make them
reflecting our nature
So they can be responsible for the fish in the sea,
the birds in the air, the cattle,
And, yes, Earth itself,
and every animal that moves on the face of Earth."
God created human beings;
he created them godlike,
Reflecting God's nature.
He created them male and female.
God blessed them:
"Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Earth! Take charge!
Be responsible for fish in the sea and birds in the air,
for every living thing that moves on the face of Earth."
29-30 Then God said, "I've given you
every sort of seed-bearing plant on Earth
And every kind of fruit-bearing tree,
given them to you for food.
To all animals and all birds,
everything that moves and breathes,
I give whatever grows out of the ground for food."
And there it was.
These words speak of human being's responsibility to care for the planet where we eat, breathe, and live. To care for the planet and all of its forms of life seems to mean cultivating the gifts we've been given here on the planet to sustain life that is created in the Image of God, and reflecting His nature.

Dr. Approved Essential Oils for Sinuses
It's that time of the year...at least in Memphis it is...
It's beautiful!!! The azaleas and dogwoods are producing their short but spectacular spring extravaganza showtime! All of this also produces lots of allergy and sinus issues for many people.
My discovery of high quality (therapeutic or medical grade) essential oils has contributed greatly to my ability to enjoy this season with much less of the itchy, watery eyes, irritated nasal passages, sinus drainage and all the rest of what this season often brings. Accordingly, I've shared what I've learned and experienced with others. Occasionally I'm believed. More often my audience is considerably more skeptical.
Recently I came across this article featuring a doctor's suggestions of essential oils for sinus problems. To find the medical community encouraging the use of CAM (Complementary and Alternative Medicine) is always exciting.
Please take the time to check out Dr. Mao's thoughts on the subject of essential oils for sinuses. You'll find it here. You'll also find a whole site loaded with information he has discovered in his journey bringing the best of eastern and western medicine together to treat the whole person.

Drinking Water -- Recycling Those Bottles, or Do We Use Them at All?
By visiting Yahoo! Green's link above (the headline will get you there) you may find yourself amazed and gap jawed at some of what you read about the GIANT bottled water industry. This YOUTube video also makes a quick, but impressive point about all the empty bottles.
At our home we have begun to recycle our plastic and glass containers. Our community does not make this convenient, but we have made the decision to take the extra effort to preserve a little drop of the environment for everyone. At the end of the YOUTube video you will find websites specifically focused on the recycling issues.
There are many very safe reusable alternatives for taking your water "to go" without the expense and pollution hazard of bottled water. Many of us have filtered water coming right out of the door of our refrigerators. After reading the material at Yahoo! Green you many come to recognize this as a more reliable source of safe drinking water anyway.
As a reflexologist I am very aware of the importance for my clients to be drinking considerable water following a reflexology session. This means unless they have their own with them, I offer a bottle of water to go. Every time I do this I wonder about the real quality of the water in that bottle, and also where the bottle ends up. I'll be giving some serious consideration to an effective alternative.
What choices will you be making for the health of your planet and yourselves!?!?!? The decision affects all of us.

Reflexology - More from the Medical Community
Footsteps In Eden is my business. I am a reflexologist. I'm often asked to explain what reflexology is and what exactly I do. . . What are the benefits to the client? The answer is amazing, but not always easy to convey. How exciting to share what follows!
This morning I found this wonderful explanation of reflexology and its benefits on the website of Hadassah Medical Organization, Israel's leading university hospital. I'm excerpting a bit below and encouraging you to read and learn from the complete article by clicking here or on the link above.
Reflexology is a natural healing art based on the principle that there are reflexes in the hands, feet and ears that correspond to every part, gland and organ of the body. Through application of pressure on these reflexes, reflexology relieves tension, improves circulation and promotes the natural function of the related areas of the body.
...Reflexology corrects the three negative factors involved in the disease process: congestion, inflammation and tension.
Congested conditions are responsible for bringing about growths; inflammatory conditions are those such as colitis, bronchitis, or sinusitis; and tension is responsible for lowering the efficiency of the immune system.
Reflexology aims to improve and strengthen the weak areas of the body that are causing the condition or symptoms. This is achieved by targeting the problem areas through the reflex points found on or around the feet or hands.
Reflexology is offered in the Memphis, TN area by Footsteps In Eden. Contact information is available on our website.

Destress With These Suggestions
”Tranquility is life to the body, and contention is rottenness to the bones.” These incredibly wise words of King Solomon (at least in part) are seen at the top of this blog every time you visit. They also ring so true.
Last week was not a tranquil one in the life of our family, and my body has felt it . . . particularily in exhaustion and what appeared to me as diminished mental capabilities at times. Anyone else been there?!? The events our family faced last week – some blissful and some quite sorrowful – were all ones we are unable to avoid.
While we welcomed a beautiful new granddaughter into our lives, bringing us much joy, demands on our time and energy were truly stretched. Last week we also lost a beloved uncle, and readmitted my mother-in-law to the hospital once again as we watch her life diminishing.
Stress is all around us. Sometimes, as in the situations above, it takes all that we have to make it through. Then our bodies let us know they are exhausted and in need of rest and recovery before we plow back into the daily routines.
When stresses arise from our daily routines and become a constant and repetitive pattern in our lives, however, how often do we begin to see our own bodies become a bit rotten? There are headaches, backaches, high blood pressure, addictions, heart disease, nightmares, digestive problems, and the list goes on . . . you know all about it. As a professional Reflexologist and an Aromatherapist I’d like to take a few lines here to offer some suggestions for bringing some added tranquility to your life.
1. Reflexology helps bring balance to all the systems of the body inducing what, for many, is an incredible state of relaxation.
2. Diffusing Young Living Essential Oils such as Lavender, Peace & Calming, Orange, and others may bring a wonderful sense of relaxation, sleepfulness, and well being.
3. Use of essential oils on the feet by warm compress, vitaflex techniques, and reflexology may also be very helpful in bringing about relaxation.
4. One of my favorite quick refreshes and lift to my spirit is a spritz on my face of miessence® Rose Monsoon Hydrating mist. It’s soft, soothing, and refreshing cool, . . . all of that coupled with with the sweet scent & health benefits from the rose petals.
5. For specific information on any of the ideas mentioned above, you may contact me through my Reflexology website, Footsteps In Eden; through my Young Living Essential Oil site, Heaven Scent Essentials; or through my ONEGroup™ organic cosmetic and skincare site, Lynn’s Organic Choices.
6. And one more, not from any professional stand point – just an observation. My daughter-in-law had been struggling with nightmares, some of which were convincingly real. Since discontinuing watching the news and movies that may be oppressive to her spirit, the nightmares have stopped.

Reflexology from Medical Point of View
The medical community is promoting the benefits of reflexology. I'm excited to share the list below of medical centers and what they are saying about the benefits of this amazing touch therapy. Thank you to Mark Cook, reflexologist in Idaho for gathering and sharing the information below.
What is reflexology effective for?
In my practice, I've seen miracles time and time again in every kind of ailment. People withlong standing conditions and no hope have regained hope as their quality of life improved.
Since I am not a doctor, I am not qualified to diagnose and condition. Nor do I try since I seek to balance the whole body. Medical centers ARE qualified and promote reflexology as beneficial for the following conditions.
The California Pacific Medical Center says: Reflexology reduces stress, balances energy flow in the body and mind and supports the immune system. Though given on the hands and feet, this extraordinary technique affects the entire body.
The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center poses and answers the question: What are the indications for reflexology?
Reflexology is a form of preventive medicine that aims to maintain a person's balance and well being. Though empirical studies are lacking, many patients have benefited from reflexology. Conditions treated may include: migraine headache, hypertension, menstrual cramps or irregularities, myofascial pain, fibromyalgia, insomnia and anxiety disorders.
Maryland Center for Integrative Medicine says: The benefits (of reflexology) include reduction in tension and stress, increased vascular, neural and lymphatic circulation, and the releasing of toxins. Research has shown that blood pressure can actually decrease during a session! Clients use reflexology to alleviate or manage asthma, sinus problems, digestive disorders, inflammations, menstrual irregularities, pain, fatigue, inflammatory skin conditions and other imbalances. It is especially beneficial for circulatory problems.
The Memorial Sloan-Kettering's Cancer Center says: Reflexology is an ancient practice of applying pressure to specific parts of the feet and hands. A reflexology treatment is deeply relaxing and helps to reduce stress, relieve pain, increase circulation, and enhance well-being.
Columbia University Medical Center says: reflexology releases tension, encourages relaxation, and enhances health.
The Hartford Hospital calls Reflexology "A way of stimulating the internal organs and increasing blood circulation to all areas of the body through the compression of reflex points on hands or most commonly, the feet".
At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT, they say: "The hands and feet are regarded as mirrors of the body. By applying a controlled amount of pressure to specific points on the feet or hands (reflex areas), the therapist can identify and treat problems in all parts of the body.
Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital says: A reflexology treatment is deeply relaxing and helps to reduce stress, relieve pain, increase circulation and enhance well-being.
The Heart Center at St. Rita's offers open-heart patients reflexology as a complimentary therapy to help speed recovery and reduce discomfort. Reflexology therapy strengthens and supports the body's own healing process. The therapy, a safe non-invasive health practice, applies the principle that reflex areas in the feet and hands correspond to all parts of the body, including glands, organs and total body systems. Stimulating these reflexes can help many health problems in a natural way. The act of applying pressure to reflex areas results in the reduction of stress, which promotes positive changes in the body. It can be used to restore and maintain the body's natural equilibrium and encourage healing.
St. Rita's Medical Center conducted a three-month pilot study on open-heart patients who received reflexology, and the study confirmed a patient's level of pain and anxiety decreased significantly. It also helped patients increase the distance they were able to walk, decreased the number of days they were hospitalized and the amount of medication administered during their recovery process.
The DeKalb Medical Center says: During the session, specific reflex areas on the feet, hands and ears to encompass a complete method of promoting stress reduction, circulation, balance, vitality and normal body functioning, as well as enhancing relaxation and an overall sense of health and well-being.
Beebe Medical Center says: May help relieve stress, improve circulation, relieve stiffness and reduce pain. Also for PMS, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and Raynaud's phenomenon
Since I am not a doctor, I don't know what many of those conditions listed above are, but if you suffer from one of those conditions listed or some condition that can be improved by reducing stress, improving circulation, relieving stiffness, promotion of balance, vitality, normal body functioning and reducing pain, then according to these medical centers, perhaps you might ask yourself if some sessions at Symbiotic Systems Reflexology may help you with your situation.
To refer back to this list quickly at a later date, I will post this to my reflexology website in the near future. Bookmark Footsteps In Eden now.

Abundance Essential Oil
Abundance™, one of my favorite essential oil blends, is said to "resonate at the frequency of attraction." Now I'm not exactly sure of the technical explanation for that one, but as its name might indicate, the use of this oil has been known to have a magnetic influence drawing blessings to the user.
There is a living energy captured when plant materials are distilled at optimal low temperatures and pressures for all the hours it takes to bring every tiny valuable constituent of the flower, leaf, bark, or root into the final product. Young Living works patiently to assure their oils are of the finest quality produced at these most exacting standards.
The aromatics of essential oils do have some incredible influences over the mind, body and spirit. It's interesting that Young Living's Abundance™ Essential Oil Blend contains to single oils, frankincense and myrrh, oils that have been highly cherished for centuries for their spiritual, emotional, and physical healing powers -- So cherished, in fact, they were rarely obtained by anyone who did have an abundance of resources to purchase them.
If you receive and read the Young Living e-news last week, you read of a distributor who placed drops of Abundance™ on every piece of business material she distributed or mailed. In just a few months time she was amazed at the abundant increase in her Young Living business.
On oil-testimonials.com, there is a report of rubbing Abundance™ on the stomach of someone with a 6 pound tumor. Although the patient was receiving chemo, the doctors were absolutely amazed at how quickly the tumor shrunk to just 2 pounds in size and was operable. Frankincense and another ingredient, Clove, are known for their anti-tumoral properties. You may read the whole story HERE.
Centuries ago, the oils like those in Abundance™ were available only to those with abundant resources. You will find them very easy to obtain for you and your family today by visiting my Young Living site.

Sweet Smelling Favor for Your Health
A certain brand of room fresheners you plug into your wall may cause home fires. An email with this message came across my screen this morning with an origination date of Sunday, March 23, 2008. All indications were that I was in the 2nd generation of readers after the originator of this WARNING!
This sent me on a quick search of the internet. Would you believe that the same message has been circulating verbatim for four (4) years now?!?! Yep! Four big years. What did I learn? There had been a concern that a "lot" of them may cause fires, and were recalled by the manufacturer before any did. A child stuck a copper penny in one once. The penny and the electricity didn't quite mix well. The current arced the penny and a fire was started.
And then there was the information that I already know. The ingredients in these air fresheners may be rather noxious and toxic to your health as you breathe the fumes into your lungs.
Allow me to offer you what I believe to be the better choice. Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils from Young Living are the purest of oils available. Inhaling the aromas of their marvelous scents create many incredible benefits for physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. They may be diffused in beautiful diffusers as shown above. Only the pure oils with no other additives are being dispersed into your air (and therefore your nostrils, brain, lungs, etc.
So do your health & wellness a sweet smelling favor. Visit Diffuser World by clicking on the Photo above.
One more thing: Using the coupon code A32SAVE5 (case sensitive) will award you a 5% savings on your purchase.

BEHOLD THE EMPTY TOMB
HALLELUJAH!!! HE IS RISEN!!!
After the Sabbath, as the first light of the new week dawned, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to keep vigil at the tomb. Suddenly the earth reeled and rocked under their feet as God's angel came down from heaven, came right up to where they were standing. He rolled back the stone and then sat on it. Shafts of lightning blazed from him. His garments shimmered snow-white. The guards at the tomb were scared to death. They were so frightened, they couldn't move.
The angel spoke to the women: "There is nothing to fear here. I know you're looking for Jesus, the One they nailed to the cross. He is not here. He was raised, just as he said. Come and look at the place where he was placed.
"Now, get on your way quickly and tell his disciples, 'He is risen from the dead. He is going on ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there.' That's the message."
The women, deep in wonder and full of joy, lost no time in leaving the tomb. They ran to tell the disciples. Then Jesus met them, stopping them in their tracks. "Good morning!" he said. They fell to their knees, embraced his feet, and worshiped him. Jesus said, "You're holding on to me for dear life! Don't be frightened like that. Go tell my brothers that they are to go to Galilee, and that I'll meet them there."
Matthew 28:1-10 THE MESSAGE
Jesus' Paid the Ultimate Price for His Bride
Mohar: the price a prospective groom paid to her family to secure the betrothal. To secure The Church as His Bride, Jesus the Christ paid an enormous mohar. The price was the ultimate in shame, pain, and a most brutal and agonizing death. We commemorate His ultimate sacrifice/payment today. How does your heart respond?
SHAME: Spit on; dressed up as a silly looking king (purple robe & crown of painful thorns) and mocked; beaten; hit in the face; made to carry His own cross . . . His reaction:
PAIN: Emotional and physical -- endured in silence, while we complain loudly of headaches, stomaches, and the like.
DEATH: Have you ever wondered what Jesus' thoughts were as He hung their on the cross, dying a death He could have forgone? Is the Holy Spirit whispering to your heart even a tiny realization of just how much He loves you and me -- the whole of His Church, His Bride here on this earth? No Bride's family could ever expect a greater price.
These thoughts have been prompted by a study of ATTNEDING THE BRIDE OF CHRIST by Martha Lawley, copyright 2005, Lifeway Publishing.
SHAME: Spit on; dressed up as a silly looking king (purple robe & crown of painful thorns) and mocked; beaten; hit in the face; made to carry His own cross . . . His reaction:
Such a large crowd of witnesses is all around us! So we must get rid of everything that slows us down, especially the sin that just won't let go. And we must be determined to run the race that is ahead of us. We must keep our eyes on Jesus, who leads us and makes our faith complete. He endured the shame of being nailed to a cross, because he knew that later on he would be glad he did. Now he is seated at the right side [a] of God's throne! So keep your mind on Jesus, who put up with many insults from sinners. Then you won't get discouraged and give up. Hebrews 12:1-3 CONTEMPORARY ENGLISH VERSION
PAIN: Emotional and physical -- endured in silence, while we complain loudly of headaches, stomaches, and the like.
He was beaten, he was tortured,
but he didn't say a word.
Like a lamb taken to be slaughtered
and like a sheep being sheared,
he took it all in silence.
Justice miscarried, and he was led off—
and did anyone really know what was happening?
He died without a thought for his own welfare,
beaten bloody for the sins of my people.
They buried him with the wicked,
threw him in a grave with a rich man,
Even though he'd never hurt a soul
or said one word that wasn't true.
Isaiah 53:7-9 THE MESSAGE
DEATH: Have you ever wondered what Jesus' thoughts were as He hung their on the cross, dying a death He could have forgone? Is the Holy Spirit whispering to your heart even a tiny realization of just how much He loves you and me -- the whole of His Church, His Bride here on this earth? No Bride's family could ever expect a greater price.
Still, it's what God had in mind all along,
to crush him with pain.
The plan was that he give himself as an offering for sin
so that he'd see life come from it—life, life, and more life.
And God's plan will deeply prosper through him.
Out of that terrible travail of soul,
he'll see that it's worth it and be glad he did it.
Through what he experienced, my righteous one, my servant,
will make many "righteous ones,"
as he himself carries the burden of their sins.
Therefore I'll reward him extravagantly—
the best of everything, the highest honors—
Because he looked death in the face and didn't flinch,
because he embraced the company of the lowest.
He took on his own shoulders the sin of the many,
he took up the cause of all the black sheep.
Isaiah 53:10-12 THE MESSAGE

Foot Washing -- A Humble Service
Thursday evening of Holy Week -- Jesus served His disciples by washing their feet. That's not considered a very pleasant task. They walked dusty roads on their sandaled feet. The dust that hopped into their shoes, mixed with sweat on their feet from the warm climate would have made for some caked on mud. It's a good bet they may have sported blisters and callouses besides -- perhaps cracked skin. Yet Jesus possessed the humility for the task in spite of His status as God Incarnate.
In a Bible study session recently someone commented about our individual willingness to wash feet if that is the task God has prepared for us to do.
In a Bible study session recently someone commented about our individual willingness to wash feet if that is the task God has prepared for us to do.
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:8-10My thoughts at that moment were, "God did plan for me to wash feet. Well not wash them exactly, but certainly to rub and massage them. As He has led me to the place where reflexology is a way of serving others, I'm also able to bring a touch of His love to their lives. Placing it in this Jesus' Light, brings a whole new dimension of understanding to the Thursday events of that first Holy Week. I'm humbled to offer myself for the task of this good thing He had planned for me long ago.

Jesus Anointed with Costly Spikenard
All 4 of the Gospel writers in the New Testament record an account of Jesus being anointed with costly pure nard or Spikenard.
Quiz:
1) Was He anointed on His head or His feet?
2) How many times during His ministry was He anointed?
a. 3
b. 6
c. 1
d. everyday
3) Who anointed Him with the precious oil?
a. Mary of Bethany
b. Mary Magdalene
c. An anonymous woman
d. All of the above
4) Where did the anointing(s) occur?
a. Simon the Leper's home
b. Lazarus' home
c. Simon the Pharisee's home
d. At the Last Supper
It is easy to assume these are all the same story. Closer reading will show they are actually 3 different occurences in Jesus’ life and in 3 different locations.
One was at the beginning of His ministry, one was 6 days before His burial, and yet another one was 2 days before His burial.
The time of Luke’s story is the early days of Jesus’ ministry at Simon the Pharisee's home most likely by Mary Magdalene. Our focus today is on the other two occasions.
Matthew & Mark write of the same occasion. This was 2 days before Passover at the home of Simon the Leper by an unidentified woman who anointed Jesus' head. John's story takes place 6 days before the Passover when Mary of Bethany anointed the feet of Jesus while he was at the home of her brother Lazarus.
Just to be sure, the Bible does not recount Jesus being anointed everyday or at the Last Supper.
The one litra of spikenard each used is worth about $2200 in today’s currency. (A 5ml bottle of pure therapeutic grade essential oil of spikenard retails for about $45.) The $2200 is equivalent to a year's wages for a common laborer around 30 A.D.
Some myrrh (also very costly) may have been mixed in with the spikenard as a fixative substance. The application of both spikenard and myrrh in the last week of Jesus life has some interesting implications. Both of these oils are known for their ability to heal wounds and scar tissue. When Mary of Bethany anoints Jesus’ 6 days before His death, Judas objects to such a valuable commodity being used to anoint Jesus’ feet when it could have been sold for a substantial amount and distributed to the poor. Jesus’ response to Judas was to say, “Leave her along. She bought it for the day of my burial.”
Myrrh was a customary burial oil, but spikenard was not. Isaiah 53:5 says, “He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities . . . and with his stripes we are healed.” Jesus knew he was to receive a brutal flogging from the Roman soldiers in less than a week, just prior to His death. He knew His body would be covered with deep cuts and bruises in addition to the penetrating wounds of the cross. He also knew a miracle was to take place during his burial. Except for the scars on His feet, hands, and side, His injuries would all be healed without a trace.
While Jesus’ healing and resurrection was an act of God, and not the result of any oils applied just before or after his death, it is interesting that the oils Jesus received, twice in the last week of his life, are precisely the ointments that would have been chosen to treat such wounds to effect healing with little or no scar tissue. Spikenard's emotional effect in aromatherapy use has been known to be very powerful for anxiety. Jesus’ comment to Judas was as if He was affirming the appropriateness of these essential oils from which His body could well benefit during His ordeal – before, during, and after the cross—as well as in the tomb, during His burial, when His healing took place.
The oils and plants mentioned in Scripture were commonly known in that era along with their benefits for health & wellness. It is always amazing to me how much more significant their mention becomes when we have insight into information that was such common knowledge to them, but has become so foreign especially to our Western way of thinkng.
You will find the accounts of Jesus' anointings in Matthew 26:6-7, Mark 14:3, Luke 7:36-38, John 12:1-3.

How Will You Celebrate the Green Today?
HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY
Celebrate the kind of St. Patrick's Day that would please the saint himself, and bring glory to the God he served. Some of our traditions associated with this holiday are simply fun and even a bit silly, and I believe that is OK! Others that are not so uplifting and certainly not of a nature that honor Jesus Christ and His Gospel -- the Gospel shared freely by St. Patrick don't get such a big thumbs up here. He shared it not only with those closest to him, but also with the very people that imprisoned and mistreated him for many years.
Green means growth: perhaps celebrate by growing in your own relationship with Jesus Christ today, by helping someone else grow in theirs. Better yet share the Gospel with someone who doesn't yet know . . . they will be on a brand new green sprout in the Kingdom of God. St. Patrick would be honored for the glory you bring to the Living God.
For insight into St. Patrick's life and his ministry visit Proverbs 31 Ministries Devotions. It is the devotion for the day today, March 17, 2008. If you come up on this after the date, their materials are archived on the site.

See How THE King Comes!!!
"The next day the huge crowd that had arrived for the Feast heard that Jesus was entering Jerusalem. They broke off palm branches and went out to meet him. And they cheered:
Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in God's name!
Yes! The King of Israel!
Jesus got a young donkey and rode it, just as the Scripture has it:
No fear, Daughter Zion:
See how your king comes, riding a donkey's colt.
The disciples didn't notice the fulfillment of many Scriptures at the time, but after Jesus was glorified, they remembered that what was written about him matched what was done to him.
The crowd that had been with him when he called Lazarus from the tomb, raising him from the dead, was there giving eyewitness accounts. It was because they had spread the word of this latest God-sign that the crowd swelled to a welcoming parade. The Pharisees took one look and threw up their hands: "It's out of control. The world's in a stampede after him." John 12:12-19 THE MESSAGE
Watch for insights into this most Holy Week in the life of the Believer -- The week of special remembrance of Jesus death and subsequent resurrection -- His suffering and His Glory -- All for each of us -- freely given that we may be ALIVE! eternally with Him. We'll be traveling from Hosanna to Hallelujah!!!

Making Saving Fun
Poking around today looking for like minded individuals, I came across this blog "Fun 2 Save $$" about making saving fun.
The first post that popped up is entitled "Children and Advertising- What to Do?" That caught my attention as I remember well my children's pleas for the latest and greatest. As a graphic artist my husband's profession calls for the creation of advertising print pieces -- packaging, print advertising, billboards and the like. We were so aware of the gimmicks and tricks utilized by many companies to lure the consumer. We used many of the same tactics mentioned here to educate our children of these ploys. These are great suggestions. It was also a great learning tool for our children that whenever we were approached at the mall by market researchers, we were automatically disqualified because of my husband's work in the advertising field. They knew we knew all the tricks!
There are other posts on the blog, too, that speak of "snowflaking" and the "latte factor." Discover what these ideas may mean for your family's finances. I believe that while this seems to be a fairly new blogging endeavor it will be one worth following.

Horton Hears a Who -- Horton Gets a Clue
WOW!!! That's the only word that came to my mind as I read through this incredible article -- plus an overwhelming sense of the Holy Spirit all over this one. "WHO" would have ever thought that Dr. Seuss in 1954 would be speaking prophetically to us today in 2008 -- over 50 years later.
What I recognized immediately as a friendly children's flick appearing on the big screen all over America this weekend, has just become a "must see" moment in time.
This is just more confirmation to me that it has been God speaking to me about using my reflexology skills and gifting in a pro-life center in my community. The contacts were made weeks ago. I now have a copy of a textbook on the subject of maternity and reflexology. When I learned of the book in early January, I had no idea it would take me over 2 months to actually obtain a copy -- especially in our instant gratification society. I'm also trusting the right doors will open for me to participate in a very specific maternity and reflexology advanced training this fall. All of that before I ever read this article this morning.
Praying you will take the time to read the whole article at the link above. Copies of the book may be ordered from The Elijah List or through Amazon at the link to the right on this page. What steps will you take to get involved in the cure for this epidemic, bringing God's light for these precious unheard "Little Whos?"

We Love Our Salt Lamp!!!
Our salt lamp glows all day next to our bed. It's so refreshing to walk by it, especially knowing that the air has been renewed; a most peaceful night's sleep awaits. (We do turn it off at night as the brightness of the light does create some interference with our sleep.)
Have just begun to use another one of these terrific lamps next to my computer. I look forward to an awesome testimony here, too.
Solay has so many different natural and eco-friendly products available, I'll know I'll be spending quite some time in discovery. More reports to come from my first hand learning.

What is Your Dream?
What are your dreams? If time, resources, and fear of failure was not an issue what would you do with your life? Have you taken the time and prayed for God's dreams for your life?
Having traveled the path she expresses in this devotional, I felt compelled to share today. Renee Swope addresses the questions above in THE REAL ME.While the road we travel is not always easy, knowing who we are in Him and His dreams for our lives as He empowers us to touch others in very intentional and practical ways gives us purpose and direction. We may come to realize that we are able to like ourselves for who we really are -- the life that Jesus' sees, and the Jesus' others see in us. That is most freeing.
SURVEY QUESTION:
What is your dream? Are you living it? Do you know who you are, and especially who you are in Jesus?

Lush Meadows and Drink from Quiet Pools
Surrounded by so much chaos . . . stress and frustrations on the left and on the right . . . in front and rear too . . . take the time to sit . . . and rest . . . focusing your eyes on the one who securely holds your hand . . . perhaps meditate on the words penned by a famous shepherd . . . they may tickle sweet emotions long forgotten . . . speak soothing life to your parched spirit . . . If these words of the 23rd Psalm sound a little different, they are . . . smile! Take a fresh look . . .
I pray you will find your lush meadow and quiet pools today.

From THE MESSAGE -- Psalm 23
GOD, my shepherd! I don't need a thing. You have bedded me down in lush meadows; you find me quiet pools to drink from.
True to your word, you let me catch my breath and send me in the right direction.
Even when the way goes through Death Valley, I'm not afraid when you walk at my side. Your trusty shepherd's crook makes me feel secure.
You serve me a six-course dinner right in front of my enemies. You revive my drooping head; my cup brims with blessing.
Your beauty and love chase after me every day of my life. I'm back home in the house of GOD for the rest of my life.
I pray you will find your lush meadow and quiet pools today.

Migraines Helped Through Reflexology -- Study from Denmark
Please click the headline above for the complete story from Sylvia Carlson.
The results from this Danish research indicate that an astounding 81% of those in the study reported being helped by this therapy. Many even believed it was their cure.
Migraine sufferers, that's worth checking out!!!! Was I one of those unfortunate enough to suffer the debilitating pain of migraines and even if I didn't know much about reflexology, after reading this article I feel rather certain I would give reflexology a chance.
Also, I love visitors. Stop by my reflexology site, too.

Why Do We Expect God to Bless America?
Everyday in America we here someone somewhere asking, "God Bless America!" I'm wondering why it is we expect Him to do that. The craziness circus (in my opinion) of an election year that is well underway . . . A happy and blessed nation would do well to heed and follow Godly Biblical views on a number of the BIG issues. Where do the candidates stand on that? I'm not one to wish to debate politics on this blog (And I won't! Don't even think about posting political ads -- They'll be rejected). I'd love to hear comments on "Why this is our expectation in the light of the way we treat God?"
What I pray that we would see as a nation is the respect and blessing we withhold from the God who has blessed us with way more than we'll ever deserve. The following passage from Malachi speaks to us today, as well. . . and "NO" it's not just about money. It is about repentance and seeking HIM and serving HIM. It's ALL HIS!! It's ALL ABOUT GOD. . . It's NOT about us. However, the incredible God I serve does "pour out blessings beyond your wildest dreams." When the nation HUMBLES itself and turns to HIM, I believe we may continue to rise from our sinking state and once again "be voted 'Happiest Nation,'. . . and experience what it's like to be a country of grace"
A bit preachy? Perhaps. I still had the need to share my thoughts on this. I pray that as a nation we will really look at how we are robbing God, humble ourselves to repent, and turn to serve Him. I believe we will be blessed again beyond our wildest dreams.

The Master You've Been Looking For
1 "Look! I'm sending my messenger on ahead to clear the way for me. Suddenly, out of the blue, the Leader you've been looking for will enter his Temple—yes, the Messenger of the Covenant, the one you've been waiting for. Look! He's on his way!" A Message from the mouth of God-of-the-Angel-Armies.
2-4But who will be able to stand up to that coming? Who can survive his appearance?
He'll be like white-hot fire from the smelter's furnace. He'll be like the strongest lye soap at the laundry. He'll take his place as a refiner of silver, as a cleanser of dirty clothes. He'll scrub the Levite priests clean, refine them like gold and silver, until they're fit for God, fit to present offerings of righteousness. Then, and only then, will Judah and Jerusalem be fit and pleasing to God, as they used to be in the years long ago.
5"Yes, I'm on my way to visit you with Judgment. I'll present compelling evidence against sorcerers, adulterers, liars, those who exploit workers, those who take advantage of widows and orphans, those who are inhospitable to the homeless—anyone and everyone who doesn't honor me." A Message from God-of-the-Angel-Armies.
6-7"I am God—yes, I Am. I haven't changed. And because I haven't changed, you, the descendants of Jacob, haven't been destroyed. You have a long history of ignoring my commands. You haven't done a thing I've told you. Return to me so I can return to you," says God-of-the-Angel-Armies.
"You ask, 'But how do we return?'
8-11"Begin by being honest. Do honest people rob God? But you rob me day after day.
"You ask, 'How have we robbed you?'
"The tithe and the offering—that's how! And now you're under a curse —the whole lot of you—because you're robbing me. Bring your full tithe to the Temple treasury so there will be ample provisions in my Temple. Test me in this and see if I don't open up heaven itself to you and pour out blessings beyond your wildest dreams. For my part, I will defend you against marauders, protect your wheat fields and vegetable gardens against plunderers." The Message of God-of-the-Angel-Armies.
12"You'll be voted 'Happiest Nation.' You'll experience what it's like to be a country of grace." God-of-the-Angel-Armies says so.
